Living Arrows 3/52

This handsome young chap turned five last Monday and even though it was his first birthday where he had to go to school rather than have a birthday day out, he still had a great day. He opened a few presents before school and finished opening them when he got home from school. He played and ate cake until he couldn’t keep his eyes open any longer. We are having a birthday dinner for him this week with a few friends, so the birthday celebrations continue!

Living Arrows is a weekly photography project organised by Donna at What the Redhead Said. She describes the project as ‘a moment of parenthood that made you feel inspired to press the shutter.’ The name is derived from a passage about childhood in Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet, ‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.’
