These photos were taken on Saturday, the day before the snow came. Another Saturday spent in the park. We have been to this park so many times (we go at least once a week!) but each trip is different. There is an area that we always go to in the summer for picnics and Archie must remember this. When we passed it at the weekend, it must have triggered a memory for him and he asked if we could have a picnic. We sheltered in the park cafe and Archie had his packed lunch whilst i sipped on a coffee. We called it our winter picnic. The sun even shone down on us and kept us warm! I can’t wait till the weather warms up enough to be able to picnic on the grass again.
Living Arrows is a weekly photography project organised by Hayley at Shutterflies. She describes the project as ‘a moment of parenthood that made you feel inspired to press the shutter.’ The name is derived from a passage about childhood in Khalil Gibran’s The Prophet, ‘You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.’
